‘Tis the season to be jolly’ is how the carol goes, but for a lot of us it’s the season where life becomes busy. Buying gifts, visiting family and let’s not forget the abundance of food we eat. This sometimes means we put our fitness to the side for the holidays.
Here our some tips to keep you active this holiday season:
It would be wise to have a plan ahead of time for when your going to focus on your health. Ask yourself when your going to exercise and what your going to do. Then write it down on a calendar so you’ll have your holiday fitness program ready. Don’t forget to have a look at our Christmas timetable so you don’t miss out on any of our classes!
- Workout buddies.
After all, Christmas is about coming together. So find that friend or relative and get active. You might just find that you motivate each other to keep going.
- Don’t wait for the New Year.
Many of us fall into the trap of restraining ourselves from exercise because we tell ourselves, “I’ll start in the new year”. And for the most part, this never comes to fruition. So get active now and your goal in the new year can be to stay active.
- Personal Training
It’s never a bad thing to get help, especially if you need it. Ask our Wellness Advisors at the Gym for their Personal Training offers. They’ll help you land on the ground running!
With a little bit of planning you can feel your best before, during and after the holiday season.
